Boris Johnson forced into self isolation one day before UK restrictions lift
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak will self-isolate after being in contact with the health secretary who has tested positive to COVID-19 just one day before restrictions lift. The prime minister and chancellor are being accused of dodging quarantine and only changing their decision after backlash. Opposition Leader Sir Keir Starmer said Mr Johnson “tries to wriggle out” of any rules applying to him and there are two rules for the government and the people. There are calls for consistency in the messaging coming from the government about sudden changes regarding COVID-19 policy.
