Euro 2020 squads: your guide to the players selected for the postponed 2021 tournament
Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss the European Championship after the Liverpool right back withdrew from the England squad with a thigh injury.
Alexander-Arnold limped off during the closing stages of England’s 1-0 friendly win over Austria on Wednesday and now faces a recovery period of four to six weeks.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was one of four specialist right backs selected in England’s final 26-man squad for the European Championship, while Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson were included despite fitness concerns. Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker and Reece James will now fight it out for a starting spot.
Maguire missed the final five games of Manchester United’s season because of an ankle ligament injury while Henderson, Liverpool’s captain, hasn’t played since February due to a groin problem.
Elsewhere, the BBC has been forced to edit Sergio Ramos out of its film promoting its European Championship coverage following his omission from the Spain squad.
The Spain captain was depicted playing a guitar before making a trademark lunging tackle on Real team-mate – and Wales star – Gareth Bale.
Telegraph Sport has been told that promo will no longer air in full and that Ramos’s non-selection has seen him edited out of a 40-second version that will appear in its place.
All the squads announced so far for this summer’s tournament are listed below. Some of the squads below are the final 26-man squads, some are extended training squads.
