Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian is “always blaming the public” on the heightened number of COVID-19 cases in the Greater Sydney area. The daily COVID-19 numbers in NSW, which are “supposed to be going down by now no matter what the Premier says,” are the largest concern in the current Sydney outbreak, according to Mr Clennell. “They’re not stabilising – they’re going up. The infectious in the community figure is going up. However, rather than admitting the lockdown is not on the right “settings,” Ms Berejiklian is blaming Sydneysiders. “It just feels a bit at the moment like Berejiklian, she’s always blaming the public,” Mr Clennell said. “We’ve got other lockdowns under control with contact tracing and the like and being policed. “I’d just like to see her take a bit more responsibility for the settings rather than saying they’re always right and just tell us what the plan is. “She’s still insisting she’s on the right path.”
