‘Hard to believe’ Commonwealth couldn’t have done more for extra Pfizer doses
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says he finds it “hard to believe” the Australian government could not have done more to obtain additional Pfizer doses. Mr Clennell said there were people within the federal government “who believe that there was more that could have been done in terms of this rollout”. Mr Clennell referenced the former Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who rang the Pfizer boss Dr Albert Bourla 30 times in order to secure a vaccine deal, with Mr Morrison having “only just rang him the other day”. “Too many eggs were placed in one basket – the AstraZeneca basket – and that was on the advice on Brendan Murphy, who Greg Hunt appointed,” Mr Clennell said.
